Summit Power International Limited hosted an iftar for about 440 migrant workers in Singapore, many of them Bangladeshis, as part of a Ramadan initiative recognising the contribution of overseas workers.

The event was organised jointly with the Anjuman & Aziz Charitable Trust at a workers’ dormitory in Space@Tuas in Singapore on Thursday, the company said in a statement.

Summit Group Founder Chairman Muhammed Aziz Khan broke fast with the workers during the programme.

The event marked the second iftar in Singapore sponsored by Summit Power International Limited, the Singapore-headquartered parent company of Bangladesh’s largest private sector power generation firm.
