State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque made the announcement on 4 April 2026, praising the squad for their outstanding performance.
In a message on Friday night, the minister congratulated all players, coaching staff, and officials for their exceptional dedication and skill. “Our young footballers have shown extraordinary determination and talent, which makes the entire nation proud,” he said. “Beating India to retain this title marks a new chapter for Bangladeshi football. Their fighting spirit signals even greater success in the years ahead.”
The minister confirmed that each member of the squad would receive a financial award in recognition of their achievement. He expressed hope that such government support would inspire young players to improve further and perform at an international standard.
