Sonali Bank PLC organised a training workshop in Barishal focusing on audit objections, settlement processes and money loan cases, as state-owned institutions step up efforts to strengthen compliance and recovery mechanisms.
The workshop was held on Thursday at the conference room of the bank’s General Managers’ Office in Barishal, bringing together divisional executives from state-owned banks and financial institutions operating in the region.
Financial Institutions Division Additional Secretary Abu Saleh Md Mohiuddin Khan attended the programme as chief guest, while Sonali Bank General Manager Md Ali Ashraf Abu Taher and Commercial Audit Directorate Deputy Director Nasif Kabir joined as special guests.
Sonali Bank General Manager in charge of Barishal GM Office Md Mahmudul Haque presided over the session.
The workshop focused on handling audit objections, improving settlement procedures and addressing issues related to money loan cases, areas seen as critical for strengthening governance and financial discipline across public sector banks.
Participants included senior officials from divisional offices of state-owned banks and financial institutions, reflecting a coordinated approach to improving audit compliance and recovery practices at the regional level.
