SINDHUSAROS Recitation Festival 2026 was held with the slogan “Let Our Expression Be Artistic,” on Saturday at the auditorium of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro in Banglamotor, Dhaka.
The festival was organised by SINDHUSAROS Recitation Practice Centre, reads a press release.
The organisation has long been working both online and offline to promote refined cultural practices, recitation art, and literary awareness among the younger generation.
Speakers at the event emphasised that healthy cultural activities play a vital role in building a humane and intellectually enriched society.
President of the organisation, Masud Monirul, said that all cultural organisations should work collectively to preserve the nation’s cultural heritage and promote healthy cultural practices.
Founder and Chief Coordinator of SINDHUSAROS Md Al-Amin said the organisation aims to create a healthy, aesthetic, and thoughtful cultural environment.
He also mentioned that through “SINDHUSAROS Rising Tone,” more than fifty young reciters are regularly engaged in recitation practice.
The festival was divided into two segments. In the first segment, child reciters captivated the audience with lively and heartfelt performances.
The second segment featured a special production titled “Bangaliyana,” performed by senior members of the organisation.
The production was scripted and directed by Al-Amin. Renowned recitation artists from across the country also performed solo and duet recitations during the event.
The programme was inaugurated by poet Abdul Hai Shikder. Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Rezauddin Stalin, attended as the chief guest.
The session was presided over by Independence Award recipient Valerie Ann Taylor, Founder of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP).
In her speech, Taylor thanked Al-Amin for inviting her to the cultural festival. She highly appreciated the exceptional initiative of the organisation and expressed hope that such events would continue to inspire younger generations toward literature, culture, and human values.
She also congratulated the child reciters and encouraged them to continue their cultural practice.
Among others present at the programmed were Mrinmoy Mizan, Mehedi Hasan, Sarowar Hossain, Shafiqul Islam Bahar, Mahmudul Hasan, Tahsin Reza, Shahidul Jahid, Usha Rani Barua, lyricist and poet Ramchandra Das, poet Roksana, and Ali Askar Khan Pathan, along with many distinguished personalities from the cultural arena.
At the festival, young reciters of “SINDHUSAROS Rising Tone” and their guardians were honoured with certificates and crests.
Guests were also presented with honorary souvenirs.
The vibrant arrangement, aesthetic presentation, and rich cultural atmosphere of the festival received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
