Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team are stepping up their preparations for the 20th Asian Games with two closed-door friendlies against Chinese top-flight side Guangdong Women’s FC in Foshan.

Rituparna Chakma and her teammates will face Guangdong on Monday at 4pm local time, having completed their final training session ahead of the game. The two sides will meet again on September 10.

The matches are part of Bangladesh’s final preparations before they travel to Japan on September 11. At the Asian Games, Bangladesh will face South Korea, North Korea and Myanmar in the group stage.

Guangdong are currently seventh in the Chinese league this season, providing Bangladesh with a competitive test before the tournament begins.

After the second friendly, Bangladesh will leave China for Japan. The women’s football competition at the Asian Games is scheduled to begin on September 14 and run until October 2.
