Bangladesh suffered a narrow 4-3 defeat to China in their fourth practice match in Beijing on Wednesday.
The Bangladesh national hockey team stayed competitive throughout the match but could not prevent China from claiming another victory in the preparation series.
Both teams attacked from the start and created chances in an open contest. Bangladesh found the net three times through Pushkar Khisha Mimo, Amirul Islam and Rakibul Hasan Rocky.
China, however, scored four goals to edge the match by a single goal.
The result leaves Bangladesh with one practice match remaining on their China tour. They will play their fifth and final game against China on Friday, September 11.
The series forms part of Bangladesh’s preparations for the Asian Games in Japan, where the national team will face South Korea, India, Japan, Sri Lanka and Indonesia in Pool A.
Bangladesh had planned overseas preparation matches ahead of the Games after the team finalised its 18-member squad. Experienced forwards Rasel Mahmud Jimmy and Pushkar Khisha Mimo remain among the key senior players in the squad.
