A fire broke out at a paint shop beside the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), also known as Cholera Hospital, in the capital’s Mohakhali area on Wednesday. No casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
The matter was confirmed at 3pm on Wednesday by Fire Service and Civil Defence Duty Officer Rashed Bin Khalid.
He said that the Fire Service received news of the blaze at the paint shop near Cholera Hospital around 2:16pm. Immediately after receiving the report, two units of the Fire Service arrived at the scene and began operations to bring the fire under control.
The fire was brought under control at 2:50pm. He added that no casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
