Presenter and actor Shariar Nazim Joy has sparked debate on social media after sharing a tongue-in-cheek post following Spain’s victory over Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
In a post on his verified Facebook account on Tuesday, Joy wrote: “Congratulations, Brazil. Oops, Spain. But if it had been any team other than Argentina, the match would have ended 8-0.”
The post quickly drew mixed reactions from football fans. Many interpreted the remark as praise for Argentina’s fighting spirit, saying the team remained resilient despite losing the title.
Others viewed it as light-hearted football banter, while some described the comment as exaggerated.
