Five more children died with measles-like symptoms across the country in the 24 hours leading up to 8am on Monday.
According to the latest update from Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released on Monday afternoon, while these five children exhibited symptoms, no deaths from confirmed measles were recorded during this specific period.
With these latest fatalities, a total of 793 children have died from measles or related symptoms since 15 March. Of this total, 698 children passed away with symptoms, while 95 deaths were officially confirmed as being caused by measles.
Data provided by DGHS shows that 1,069 children were affected by illness or exhibited symptoms in the last 24 hours.
This figure includes 147 confirmed measles cases and 922 patients with symptoms. During the same 24-hour window, 889 children were newly admitted to hospitals, while 1,011 were discharged.
Since 15 March, the total number of suspected measles patients has reached 118,570, with 14,578 cases officially confirmed.
Throughout this period, a total of 101,026 patients have been hospitalised, of whom 97,532 have since been discharged and returned home.
