A graduation ceremony, crest presentation and cultural programme for the 62nd batch of the Department of Business Administration at Shanto-Mariam University was held at the BGMEA Auditorium in Uttara, Dhaka.
The colourful and distinctive event celebrated the completion of an important chapter in the students’ academic journey and marked their transition towards future professional careers, reads a press release.
The programme was held on Monday afternoon.
Eminent artist Mostafizul Haque, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Shanto-Mariam University, attended the event as the chief guest.
Behzad Noor, treasurer of the university and head of the Department of Business Administration, presided over the programme.
Par Mashiur Rahman, registrar of the university; Md Mahbubul Hasan and ATM Shibbir Khan, coordinators of the BBA and MBA programmes; faculty members from various departments; and a large number of students were also present.
In his presidential address, Behzad provided guidance to the students on successfully navigating the next phase of their journey and building bright and successful professional careers.
He said, “Today’s completion of your academic journey is only a temporary pause. It does not mean that you are simply leaving this institution. After the midday break, I look forward to meeting you again in the journey toward becoming enlightened individuals and in the leadership of nation-building.”
The event also featured a guidance session with Md Halimuzzaman, chief executive of Bookman Research and Training Institute, Postdoctoral Researcher at Multimedia University, Malaysia, and former Assistant Professor at Royal University of Dhaka; and Md Ataur Rahman, manager of Ananta Companies.
Senior officials from various industries and other distinguished guests also took part in the discussion and shared valuable insights and guidance with the graduating students regarding their future careers.
During the ceremony, the students received their crests from the distinguished guests and senior officials.
The day-long, colourful and aesthetically arranged programme concluded with an entertaining cultural performance, bringing the memorable celebration to a delightful close.
