Following the Oscars’ announcement of 2027 and 2028 ceremony dates, SAG-AFTRA, which recognises excellence in film and television, has confirmed the schedule for its Actor Awards.
The 2027 ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 28, and the 2028 awards on Sunday, February 20. Both events will begin at 8:00 am ET (7:00 pm BST). The ceremony will stream live on Netflix.
Notably, the 2027 awards will take place during the final round of Oscars voting from February 25 to March 1. This overlap has previously sparked discussion about how Actor Award winners may influence Academy voters in key categories.
SAG-AFTRA, the world’s largest actors’ union, will release further deadlines and related dates in the coming weeks.
