Trust Bank PLC has inaugurated the second batch of its month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme aimed at enhancing the skills and business capabilities of entrepreneurs in the Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (CMSME) sector.
The programme is being conducted under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), an initiative of the Finance Division under the Ministry of Finance, reads a press release.
It is supervised by the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank and financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The inaugural ceremony was held on Monday at Eque Heritage Hotel and Resort.
Nawshad Mustafa, director of SMESPD at Bangladesh Bank, attended the programme as chief guest and formally inaugurated the training.
Mohammad Wasim, deputy programme director (DPD) – programmes and joint director at Bangladesh Bank, joined as special guest.
Among others present were Md Mahboob Hossain, SEVP and head of Business Division at Trust Bank PLC, and Sadat Ahmad Khan, SVP and head of SME Division at Trust Bank PLC.
The session was presided over by Brig Gen Mohammad Shamsuzzaman (retd), SEVP and principal of the Training Academy at Trust Bank PLC.
The training programme, scheduled from 6 April to 4 May , 2026, is designed to provide CMSME entrepreneurs with practical insights into business planning, marketing strategies, financial management and enterprise development. Sessions will be conducted by experienced trainers from Bangladesh Bank and Trust Bank PLC.
Through such initiatives, Trust Bank PLC aims to promote grassroots entrepreneurship and support inclusive economic growth across the country, in line with the national vision of building a skilled and financially empowered SME sector.
