Rupali Bank PLC held a meeting at its head office in Dilkusha to accelerate loan disbursement to the Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (CMSME) sector and review progress against its lending targets for 2026.
The meeting, held on June 22, was chaired by Managing Director Kazi Md Wahidul Islam and brought together senior executives from the bank’s head office, divisional and regional operations, as well as branch managers from across the country, the bank said in a press release.
Deputy Managing Directors Hasan Tanvir and Md Harunur Rashid attended the meeting. General Managers Md Ismail Hossain Sheikh, Md Moin Uddin Masud and Salamun Nesa were also present, along with Deputy General Manager Md Afzal Hossain.
Participants reviewed the bank’s progress in CMSME loan disbursement against the targets set for the current year and discussed measures to expand the flow of credit to the sector.
The discussions focused on improving access to financing for marginal and new entrepreneurs through easier lending conditions, while also enhancing customer service standards.
Bank officials provided operational guidance aimed at strengthening lending activities and improving service delivery across the CMSME portfolio.
The meeting was attended virtually by general managers from local and divisional offices, zonal managers, relevant officials from the head office, and branch managers of Corporate Branches 1 and 2, along with branch heads from all Rupali Bank branches nationwide.
In addition to reviewing CMSME lending performance, participants assessed the bank’s overall business progress and discussed strategies to achieve institutional targets.
Senior management called on all concerned to work in a coordinated manner to meet business objectives and support the bank’s growth agenda during the remainder of the year.
