Robi Axiata PLC has appointed Ruhul Amin as its Chief Financial Officer, according to a press release said. The announcement was made in Dhaka on 6 July 2026, formalising his transition from Acting Chief Financial Officer, a role he has held since 1 January 2026.
Amin brings nearly 25 years of experience in finance, strategy, governance, transformation, analytics and business leadership, including more than 14 years at Robi Axiata PLC. His appointment strengthens the company’s senior management structure as it continues its strategic and financial transformation.
Prior to this appointment, he held several leadership positions including Chief Strategy Officer, Acting Chief Financial Officer, and senior finance roles across Robi and the Axiata Group. During his tenure at Robi, he has been involved in strategic transformation initiatives, financial governance strengthening, analytics-driven decision-making and major business programmes.
Robi said his experience includes participation in significant transactions and transformation projects across the telecommunications sector, contributing to the company’s broader operational development.
Managing Director and CEO of Robi Axiata PLC, Ziad Shatara, said the appointment reflects Amin’s deep understanding of the business and his proven leadership in finance and strategy. He added that the company expects his contribution to strengthen performance, governance and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
Amin is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from Bangladesh, a Certified Public Accountant from Australia, and a Certified Management Accountant from Australia. He has also completed executive programmes at INSEAD and Harvard.
