Smartphone company realme has distributed Eid clothing to around 800 students of a government primary school in Netrokona, as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged children during Eid-ul-Fitr.
The initiative, branded “Eider Hashi”, was organised on 8 March in collaboration with Grow Your Reader Foundation, according to a press release.
The distribution took place at Baruakona Government Primary School, a nearly 100-year-old institution, where students received new clothes to enable them to celebrate Eid with greater dignity and inclusion.
The campaign also involved volunteers from the foundation alongside university students and youth groups, turning the programme into a broader community-driven effort.
The move reflects a growing trend among brands to align social outreach with festive periods, when demand for support among low-income communities tends to rise.
realme said the initiative is part of its wider effort to extend engagement beyond its core business and contribute to social well-being through youth participation and community involvement.
