Robi Axiata PLC has introduced discounted Eid content packs through a partnership with streaming platform Chorki, aiming to capture holiday demand for digital entertainment.
The offer allows Robi users to access Chorki’s full library of films, original series and exclusive Eid releases through subscription packages priced between Tk61 and Tk131, with validity ranging from three to 30 days, the company said in a press release.
Customers can purchase the packs through the My Robi app, recharge channels including mobile financial services and retail outlets, as well as USSD dial codes, widening access across user segments.
The move reflects intensifying competition among telecom operators to bundle content services with connectivity, particularly during Eid when streaming consumption typically peaks as families spend more time at home.
Robi said the initiative is designed to make premium digital content more accessible while enhancing the festive experience through affordable, short-term packages.
Robi Axiata PLC is the second largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh, with Malaysia-based Axiata Group Berhad holding a 61.82 per cent stake, Bharti Airtel of India owning 28.18 per cent and public shareholders accounting for the remaining 10 per cent.
