Banglalink digital entertainment platform Toffee will stream a mix of local films, international titles, dramas and live sports during Eid-ul-Fitr under a campaign branded “Toffee Eid Dhamaka”, aiming to capture peak holiday viewership.
The move reflects rising competition among streaming platforms during Eid, when family viewing drives some of the highest traffic across television and digital services, according to a press release.
The slate includes Bangladeshi films such as Shariful Raj’s “Omar” and “Insaf”, Apu Biswas and Joy Chowdhury’s “Trap”, Jaya Ahsan’s “Nakshi Kanthar Zamin”, Shakib Khan’s “Golui”, Afran Nisho’s “Daagi” and Mehazabien Chowdhury’s “Priyo Maloti”.
Selected international titles will also be available free during the holiday, including Jason Statham’s “The Beekeeper”, the heist thriller “Den of Thieves” and the Korean series “Flower of Evil”, as platforms use global content to widen audience reach.
Drama titles such as “Agle Rekho Amay” and “Bhul Naki Prem”, featuring Khairul Basar and Arosh Khan, will be available on demand.
Live sports remains a key draw, with the platform set to stream English Premier League (EPL) matches and UEFA Champions League knockout fixtures, alongside the New Zealand–South Africa T20 cricket series.
EPL coverage is expected to anchor viewership during the holiday period.
More than 60 live television channels will also be available alongside the platform’s on-demand library.
Toffee Deputy Director Modasser Ahmed said the campaign is designed to bring together a wide range of content on a single platform during Eid.
“This Eid, our vision was to blend nostalgia with the possibilities of modern digital entertainment, creating a platform where audiences can find everything they love in one place,” he said.
The initiative reflects Banglalink’s broader push to expand digital content offerings through platforms such as Toffee, alongside services including the MyBL super-app and youth-focused brand RYZE, as telecom operators deepen their focus on content-led ecosystems, the company said.
