Actress and singer Zinat Sanu Swagata will appear as the guest on the second episode of the celebrity talk show Star Stories, which will air on Thursday, September 10, at 8pm.
Hosted by Pantha Afzal, the episode features Swagata discussing various aspects of her professional and personal life. The conversation covers relationships, love, marriage, media politics, rumours and experiences from her career in showbiz.
Speaking candidly about social media, Swagata said people have gradually accepted things such as second marriages and living together when they see them online, but often struggle to accept them when they become part of their own lives.
“People on social media have accepted second marriages and living together, but they cannot accept these things when they become personally involved. These things are happening openly. People see them on social media and they get views. That means our society likes watching these things,” she said.
Swagata also made strong comments about the entertainment industry, alleging that nepotism, politics, grouping, syndicates and lobbying are widespread.
“Because of these things, deserving people do not get work. Even I have been left out despite doing well. As a result, many people in the industry like me have become frustrated and left the profession,” she said.
The actress also shared her views on various contemporary issues during the conversation.
The episode will feature fun and games as well as a special rapid-fire segment, where Swagata will answer a series of personal and entertaining questions.
