Jamuna Bank PLC organised a workshop on Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) implementation and regulatory expectations at its Training Academy in Dhaka on 12 September 2026, aiming to strengthen officials’ understanding of the regulatory framework.
The workshop was conducted by Bangladesh Bank Supervisory Policy & Coordination Department (SPCD) Director Abdur Rab and SPCD Joint Director Md Nurul Huda. They discussed key elements of RBS, its effective implementation in the banking sector and regulatory expectations linked to the framework.
Jamuna Bank Deputy Managing Director, Chief Risk Officer and RBS Focal Point Md Shahidul Islam inaugurated the workshop as chief guest, while Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Jahangir Alam attended as special guest.
The session also featured remarks from Jamuna Bank Head of Credit Risk Management Division Md Prashanta Samir, Head of Jamuna Bank Training Md Afzal Hossain and SAVP Sazia Afreen.
Divisional heads and senior branch heads of Jamuna Bank participated in the workshop, which focused on improving preparedness for regulatory requirements and strengthening sound banking practices.
Other senior officials of Jamuna Bank PLC also attended the session and shared their views on effective implementation of the RBS framework.
