The low pressure forming over the Bay of Bengal is more likely to strike Bangladesh, Bangladesh Weather Observation Team said on Monday.
In a Facebook post in the morning, the BWOT said that the low pressure could particularly hit any area between Bhola and Chattogram. There is a possibility of rainfall in several parts of the country between November 5 and 6, with chances of heavy rain in some areas of the Chattogram division, it added.
Meanwhile, the latest forecast from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department indicates that the low pressure is currently located over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas of Myanmar. It may move north-northwestward toward the Myanmar-Bangladesh coast.
Under these conditions, by Tuesday morning, rain or thundershowers may occur in some parts of the Chattogram division and isolated areas of Barishal and Sylhet divisions, the BMD said.
The weather is expected to remain mostly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Nighttime temperatures may drop slightly, while daytime temperatures may rise slightly.
