Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino and his family are safe after false rumours circulated online claiming they had been killed in an Iranian airstrike on Israel.
The 62-year-old director, known for ‘Pulp Fiction’, ‘Kill Bill’ and ‘Inglourious Basterds’, lives in Israel with his wife, singer Daniella Pick and their two children for part of the year. Social media posts, incorrectly attributed to Deadline, claimed Tarantino had died alongside his family after a missile struck Israel. TMZ and sources close to the director confirmed the reports were entirely false.
Images circulating of Tarantino in a bomb shelter were also debunked as AI-generated or manipulated. The false claims emerged amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel following recent missile strikes in the region.
Tarantino, a two-time Academy Award winner, married Pick in 2018. The couple splits their time between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles.
