Preparations are underway at Dhaka’s National Eidgah ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, with authorities making arrangements to ensure smooth and safe congregation for worshippers.
Extensive cleaning, installation of pandals and strengthened security measures have been put in place across the grounds ahead of the main Eid congregation.
The preparations aim to accommodate thousands of worshippers expected to attend the prayers in an organised environment.
The main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held at 8:30am at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the capital.
In case of inclement weather, the congregation will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9:00am.
Subject to moon sighting, Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival of Muslims, is expected to be celebrated on March 20 or March 21.
