Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday thanked the law, justice and parliamentary affairs minister and the home minister for identifying and bringing the accused in the Ramisa murder case under the law, according to a press release.
According to the release, the PM praised the effective role of the relevant ministries and law enforcement agencies during a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held at 2pm at the National Parliament Building.
Specifically thanking the law and home ministers, the PM remarked that the swift investigation, identification, and arrest of the perpetrators in such a brutal and heartbreaking case reflect the government’s firm commitment to upholding law and order.
Tarique Rahman expressed his hope that the judicial proceedings would be completed fairly and expeditiously, ensuring the guilty receive appropriate punishment under the law.
Furthermore, he urged law enforcement agencies, investigating officers, and all concerned parties to maintain this level of professionalism and dedication to ensure public safety.
Other members present at the meeting also lauded the swift actions taken by the authorities and expressed their expectation that the government’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy against crime would continue in the future.
