Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Saturday that as the situation in Middle East and Gulf region continues to evolve, the war there has caused serious losses to people across the region and does not serve the common interests of the international community.
He also urged BRICS to play a pioneering role in maintaining peace and development.
Earlier in the day, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in New Delhi at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the 18th Brics Summit.
