Five senior police officers, including three additional superintendents of police and two assistant superintendents of police, have been transferred.
The Police Headquarters issued a notification in this regard on Saturday, signed by Inspector General of Police Md Ali Hossain Fakir.
Of the transferred officers, Ishtiaq Hasan Amin, additional superintendent of police in Cumilla, has been posted to the Special Branch in Dhaka.
Md Labib Abdullah, additional superintendent of police of Bera Circle in Pabna, has been transferred to the Tourist Police, while Piyas Basak, additional superintendent of police of Nabinagar Circle in Brahmanbaria, has been posted to the Industrial Police.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police Shyamoli Rani Barman of Sapahar Circle in Naogaon has been transferred to the Industrial Police.
Md Rafiur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police at the Khulna Range DIG’s office, has been transferred to Madhabpur Circle in Habiganj.
The notification said the officers must hand over charge at their respective current workplaces by 22 September.
If they fail to do so, they will be “stand released” with immediate effect from 23 September.
