Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has sent gifts to a child who stood by the roadside with a flower to welcome him during his visit to Jashore on Monday.
The child, along with his mother Nilima, stood in front of the Jashore Institute holding a flower as the Prime Minister’s convoy, including his bus, passed the area with the slogan “Sobar Agee Bangladesh”.
Noticing them, Tarique Rahman, also the chief patron of Amra BNP Poribar, stopped the vehicle and stepped out to see the child. The moment drew attention nationwide.
The incident was later shared on Nilima’s Facebook page and circulated across media and social platforms.
Following the event, the Prime Minister instructed his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman to send gifts for Nilima and her child.
An Amra BNP Poribar delegation later visited Nilima’s residence in Jashore on Thursday and handed over the gifts.
The delegation was led by its Member Secretary agriculturist Md Moksedul Momin Mithun.
Amra BNP Poribar members Masud Rana Liton and Jashore District Swechchhasebak Dal Member Secretary Rajidur Rahman Sagar were also present during the visit.
