Nasiruddin Patwary, chief coordinator of NCP and the 11-party alliance nominated candidate for the Dhaka-8 constituency, has launched a new website ‘Chandabaaj’ to curb extortion nationwide.
The platform Chandabaaj, went live on Wednesday afternoon. Users can access it directly via chandabaaj.com to report incidents of extortion from across the country.
According to organisers, eight reports have already been submitted through the website.
Each report will be carefully verified before appropriate legal action is taken against the offenders.
Patwary urged citizens, “If you witness any act of extortion in your area, report it immediately with proper evidence. This will help identify the criminals and make legal action easier.”
He added, “In the Bangladesh we dream of building, there is no place for extortionists.”
