Leonid Radvinsky, the billionaire owner of ‘OnlyFans’, has died at the age of 43 following a prolonged illness, the company confirmed.
Born in Ukraine and raised in Chicago, Radvinsky acquired the platform in 2018 from its British founders. Under his leadership, OnlyFans saw rapid growth, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming a major player in the digital content economy.
Launched in 2016, the platform allows creators to monetise content through subscriptions and direct interactions with fans. While it hosts a wide range of material, it is best known for adult content and its creator-driven business model. The company takes a 20 per cent share of earnings.
OnlyFans expanded significantly in recent years, reporting billions in transactions and hundreds of millions of users globally. Its rise also brought regulatory scrutiny, particularly over content moderation and age verification practices in the UK.
Radvinsky, a graduate of Northwestern University, was also involved in tech investment through his venture firm and supported medical causes, including cancer research.
He is survived by his family, who have requested privacy.
