Mehazabien Chowdhury and Adnan Al Rajeev marked their first wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day, completing a year of marriage after a 14-year friendship and relationship. The couple officially tied the knot on February 14, 2025.
To celebrate the occasion, Mehazabien shared a series of photographs with her husband on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt message. In the caption, she reflected on their journey of growing up together, standing by each other through challenges and building a family after more than a decade together. She wrote that the journey has been priceless and added that, if given the chance to begin again, she would still choose Adnan.
Within two hours, the post had received nearly 9,000 reactions and more than 200 comments.
Mehazabien rose to prominence after entering showbusiness through the Lux-Channel i Superstar competition in 2009, later establishing herself as one of the leading faces in television drama. Adnan, meanwhile, built his career in directing and production.
The pair first met while working on a Ceylon Tea advertisement. Although they shared the same make-up room, they initially paid little attention to one another. Adnan later recalled that while he was busy chatting with everyone on set, Mehazabien appeared serious and reserved. From her perspective, Adnan seemed like a talkative young man who fancied himself a director. It later emerged that he was indeed a director and that early misunderstanding became the starting point of their acquaintance.
Despite contrasting personalities, with Adnan outgoing and sociable and Mehazabien quieter and more reserved, the differences have strengthened their bond over time.
Industry rumours and busy schedules did not drive them apart. Instead, mutual trust and respect have deepened their relationship.
