A new cultural initiative titled ‘Tara’ is preparing to begin its journey with ‘Tara Unplugged’, a launch event scheduled for November 28 at Café 138 East on Gulshan Avenue.
The organisers describe the platform as a campaign dedicated to reconnecting the youth with Bangla culture through authentic artistic expressions.
They note that Tara intends to cultivate a space where young artists will inspire their own generation toward music, art and meaningful human connection.
The initiative also seeks to reaffirm that culture, heritage and collective empathy remain essential to building lasting bonds within society.
The opening event will feature a two-hour acoustic showcase starting at 7:30 pm, creating an intimate environment for music lovers.
Performers include Shuvendu Das Shuvo and Sanzida Mahmood Nandita of Mosey & Co., widely recognised for their lyrical depth and acoustic arrangements. Rising singer Animes Roy will join the stage with his contemporary repertoire, adding a fresh youthful tone to the evening’s lineup.
According to Jannatul Ferdaus Moon from the organisers, this first programme serves as a symbolic beginning to Tara’s broader mission of fostering a more culturally rooted generation.
Tara plans to expand its activities next year with a series of thematic cultural festivals, corporate exhibitions and creative social gatherings. Each initiative will reflect the organisation’s commitment to emotion-led storytelling, artistic experimentation and aesthetic refinement.
