The National Citizen Party (NCP) brought out a procession in the capital on Tuesday afternoon to mark the Victory Day.
The procession titled ‘Agrason birodhi jatra’ (March against aggression) began around 4pm from the party’s temporary office in Banglamotor and proceeded trough Katabon, Nilkhet and Palashi intersections before ending at the Central Shaheed Minar.
NCP leaders and activists participated in the march carrying the national flag, wearing Victory Day stickers and tying headbands bearing the national flag colours.
The march was led by NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, along with senior central leaders and activists from the party’s Dhaka North and South units.
Party leaders said the programme was organised to mark the Victory Day and to demonstrate the party’s position against aggression and in favour of national sovereignty.
