NCC Bank PLC and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation have signed an agreement under the Credit Enhancement Scheme for the 2026–27 fiscal year to expand institutional financing for microentrepreneurs and make formal credit more accessible across Bangladesh.
Under the agreement, NCC Bank will provide loans to PKSF-enlisted partner organisations with guarantee support from the foundation. The partner organisations will then disburse the funds to small entrepreneurs, helping foster entrepreneurship, generate employment and support inclusive and sustainable economic growth, the organisations said in a press release.
Md Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank, and Md Fazlul Kader, Managing Director of PKSF, exchanged the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, Senior Vice-President and Head of SME at NCC Bank, attended the ceremony alongside other senior officials from both organisations.
Officials expressed confidence that the partnership would significantly broaden the reach of institutional financing for small entrepreneurs across the country.
They said improved access to finance for underserved sections of society would strengthen financial inclusion, promote entrepreneurship, create jobs and contribute to Bangladesh’s sustainable economic development.
