Bangladeshi child actor Mugdhota Morshed Wriddhi, who won the National Film Award in 2020 for her role in ‘Gondi’ and her father, Monjur Morshed Noyon, are receiving medical treatment after a robbery-related accident in Dhaka.
The pair were in an auto-rickshaw in Agargaon when a thief attempted to snatch their belongings, causing the vehicle to lose balance.
Wriddhi sustained injuries to her teeth, while her father hurt his leg. Both are under observation at Dhaka Dental College in Mirpur.
Speaking about the incident, Wriddhi’s mother, journalist Rifat Anwar, said the family remains shaken by the attack and is taking time to recover mentally.
The family has yet to report the incident formally to law enforcement, and authorities have not commented on the case.
