A special hotline service and digital information platform have been launched in Narail to help ensure the safety and security of expatriate families and minority communities.
The service initiative was formally inaugurated on Saturday at an event held at Narail Press Club under the special supervision of Narail-2 MP Ataur Rahman Bachchu. Organisers said the initiative was taken to strengthen social security and bring digital services closer to the public.
Under the service, citizens will be able to seek assistance directly through the designated hotline numbers. Immediate support will be provided in cases involving crises or security-related issues faced by expatriate families, while legal and security assistance will also be ensured for minority communities.
The following hotline numbers have been opened for emergency communication: 01350-173737, 01350-173771 and 01350-173777.
In addition, citizens will be able to report their problems through the “Digital Information Service Narail-2” Facebook page.
“The main objective of this hotline service is to ensure the safety of every person in Narail and to make sure that expatriate families do not face any form of harassment in the country,” chief guest and MP Ataur said at the inauguration ceremony.
Among others present at the programme were Narail Press Club General Secretary MM Mahbubur Rashid Lablu; Khan Abdus Sobhan of the media and publicity department of Narail District Jamaat-e-Islami; former president of the District Bar Association Advocate Tarikuzzaman Litu; General Secretary Advocate Israfil Khabir Raju; Puja Celebration Committee President Pankaj Bihari Ghosh; Convener of the Nationalist Lawyers’ Association Advocate Azizul Islam; Jamaat leader Himayetul Islam Him; along with local dignitaries, political leaders and residents.
