Students and the public have gathered at Shahbagh to protest the killing of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi. National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam and former adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan have joined that protest by the students and the public.
They joined the people positioned at Shahbagh around 12:50am on Thursday.
At that time, Nahid Islam chanted slogans with the crowd, including, “No to slavery, freedom-freedom-freedom.”
Nahid Islam said at the time, “We know we are at war. By shooting and killing Sharif Osman Hadi, war has been declared against Bangladesh and against the July Mass Uprising. We are prepared for war.”
