Modhumoti Bank PLC has promoted Arif Hasan Khan to Deputy Managing Director with effect from 1 July 2026, according to a press release said. The promotion recognises his long-standing service and leadership within the bank’s corporate and investment banking, risk management and corporate credit divisions.
The announcement was made in Dhaka on 5 July 2026. Khan previously served as Senior Executive Vice President at Modhumoti Bank PLC, where he oversaw corporate and investment banking operations as well as risk management and corporate credit functions, according to the statement.
He joined Modhumoti Bank on 12 May 2014 as Vice President and has since contributed to strengthening risk governance, corporate credit structure and sustainable banking practices, the bank said.
Khan began his banking career as a probationary officer at Prime Bank PLC in 2001 and worked there for over a decade, leading structured finance and syndication. He later served at Bank Asia PLC as First Vice President and Unit Head of Corporate Assets, managing corporate credit operations across multiple branches.
With more than 24 years of experience in banking, he specialises in corporate banking, credit risk management, syndication, project finance and regulatory compliance. He holds an MBA in Marketing, along with MSc and BSc degrees in Physics from the University of Dhaka.
He has also completed specialised training in trade finance, syndicated loans, Basel II and financial modelling, and holds a Credit Skills Assessment Certificate from Moody’s and Omega Corporation.
