Rakibul Hasan Sarkar, a sub-inspector (SI) of Kalabagan Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), has been rescued after 24 days of his disappearance.
Fazle Ashique, officer‑in‑charge (OC) of Kalabagan Police Station, confirmed the matter Wednesday afternoon.
He said Rakibul, 32, is currently receiving treatment at Rajarbagh Police Hospital.
Senior police officials were trying to speak with him, the OC added.
However, details of where he had been during his disappearance could not yet be confirmed.
SI Rakibul had been missing since 28 April. He was dressed in civilian clothes and failed to report for duty.
