The central office directed all prospective candidates to submit their completed nomination forms between 10:00am and 5:00pm on Saturday. The process follows a schedule officially released by the party hierarchy on Wednesday.

According to the timeline set by the Election Commission, the by-election for the vacant parliamentary seat will take place on 12 November.
