The body of a farmer in Habiganj, who had been missing for two days, was recovered from a haor (marshland) on Thursday morning.
Around 11:30am, local residents recovered the body of Abdur Rouf, a 60-year-old farmer, after it was seen floating in the waters of the haor adjacent to Kayasthagram in the Gaznaipur union of Nabiganj upazila.
The deceased, Abdur Rouf, was the son of the late Rajat Ullah and a resident of Nishakuri village.
According to police and local sources, Abdur Rouf went to the haor last Tuesday to inspect his agricultural land and had been missing since then.
Although family members conducted an extensive search, they were unable to find any trace of him.
