MetLife Bangladesh, the country’s leading life insurance provider, recently recognised 949 of its top-performing financial associates, unit managers, and branch managers for their outstanding contributions throughout 2025.
The award recipients were lauded for exceptional business performance, the effective use of digital technology, and a commitment to superior customer service. The ceremonies also highlighted their significant roles in creating employment opportunities and making life insurance more accessible across Bangladesh.
The events were attended by senior leadership, including Lyndon Oliver, regional president, Asia; Elena Butarova, head of Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal and Vietnam; and Ala Ahmad, chief executive officer of MetLife Bangladesh, read a press release.
During the proceedings, Lyndon Oliver emphasised the “vital role” insurance professionals play in helping families build financial resilience across Asia. He said the top-performing agency leaders have demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation and business excellence, helping to expand protection across the country.
Elena Butarova said the agency force remains at the heart of the company’s success. She added that their dedication to understanding customer needs and embracing digital tools is strengthening trust in insurance and widening its reach across various communities.
Ala Ahmad, chief executive officer of MetLife Bangladesh, further said agents play a crucial role in enhancing the understanding of insurance as a fundamental financial planning tool. He added that the company wanted to recognise these efforts and contributions on behalf of their customers.
Currently, MetLife Bangladesh serves approximately 1 million individual customers and more than 900 corporate clients. This extensive operation is supported by a nationwide network of over 15,000 insurance agents.
