A man was stabbed to death in Pabna’s Sadar upazila on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Jibon, 22, of Rajapur village in Dogachi union under the upazila.
The incident occurred around 10:30pm near Calico Cotton Mill, said Abdus Salam, officer‑in‑charge of Pabna Sadar Police Station.
According to locals, Jibon was allegedly attacked by his rivals following a long‑standing dispute. They stabbed him, leaving him critically injured, before fleeing the scene. Locals rushed him to a hospital, but he died on the way.
Abdus Salam said, “We inspected the scene after receiving the news. The body has been recovered and sent to Pabna General Hospital morgue. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved in the murder.”
