District Detective Branch (DB) police arrested drug dealer along with 100 pieces of Yaba during an anti-narcotics operation in Munshiganj.
District DB Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ishtiak Ashfak Rasel confirmed the matter on Thursday.
The arrestee has been identified as Nayon Mia, 50.
According to OC Rasel, acting on a tip-off, a team from the DB conducted an operation in front of Mymuna Ladies Tailors, situated adjacent to the Open University and arrested Nayon. Police seized 100 pieces of Yaba tablets from him.
OC Rasel added that Nayon faces a total of nine cases at Munshiganj Police Station, including eight previous drug-related cases. Legal action is underway.
