A major reshuffle has taken place at the top level of Bangladesh Army.
In the latest round of changes, National Defence College (NDC) Commandant Lieutenant General Shaheenul Haque has been transferred to the post of Quarter Master General.
He has been replaced by Lieutenant General Faizur Rahman, who has been moved from the position of Quarter Master General to serve as the new Commandant of the NDC, according to sources at Army Headquarters.
The reshuffle also includes shifts among major generals.
Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) Commandant Major General Nasim Parvez will now serve under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an ambassador.
Major General Hakimuzzaman, who was serving as the adjutant general, has been appointed as the new commandant of MIST.
Concurrently, Major General Hossain Al Morshed, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 19 Infantry Division, has been posted as the new adjutant general.
In another development, Major General Mostagousur Rahman, the Log Area Commandant, has gone on normal retirement from the Bangladesh Army.
