Two of the country’s top order players, Litton Das and Naim Sheikh, became the central figures on Monday as franchises confirmed auction acquisitions for the new season.
Rangpur Riders made a decisive statement by securing Litton Das for 70 lakh in category A, a move that immediately anchors their batting plans. Litton’s arrival comes alongside Rangpur’s direct deals for Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaja Nafi and Sufiyan Mukim, with Towhid Hridoy added for 92 lakh from category B.
Chattogram Royals delivered the day’s biggest outlay with the purchase of Naim Sheikh for 1 crore 10 lakh in category A. The investment signals their intent to build around a high-ceiling domestic opener who has already shown he can set the tempo in pressure situations. Naim joins a core that includes direct signings Sheikh Mehedi Hasan, Tanvir Islam and Abrar Ahmed, with Shariful Islam added for 44 lakh in category B.
Across the league, other sides finalised their combinations, but Litton and Naim stood out as the two marquee domestic names whose signings reshaped the early narrative of the auction and the ambitions of their respective teams.
