The law and order situation in Bangladesh has seen significant improvement compared to the past, according to Home Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.
He made the remarks while speaking to reporters after attending the Kathin Chibar Dan festival at the Bodhigyan Bhavana Centre in Ashulia on Friday afternoon.
“The current state of law and order in the country is much improved. Even a journalist from Channel i acknowledged this,” said the adviser.
When asked about the issue of “safe exit” for advisers, Jahangir Alam responded, “People will always ask questions that cannot be stopped.” He added that the interim government is firmly committed to holding free, fair, and impartial elections, and preparations are already underway for the national polls scheduled for February.
Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Dharmapala Weerakkody, among others, was also present at the event.
