Two deputy general managers of Bangladesh Krishi Bank have received national recognition for their performance in international bridge competitions.
The awards were conferred at a ceremony held on March 30 at the Prime Minister’s Office under an initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, according to a press release.
A total of 129 national athletes were honoured in the first phase with financial rewards, sports allowances, and recognition for international achievements.
Bangladesh Krishi Bank Deputy General Manager Human Resource Management Department Md Zahid Hossain and Deputy General Manager Banani Corporate Branch Dhaka AHM Kamruzzaman were recognised as members of the Bangladesh Bridge Open Team.
They were acknowledged for participating in the 47th World Bridge Championship held in 2025.
On behalf of the Prime Minister, the recipients were awarded medals, financial reward cheques, and sports cards.
The recognition highlights the contribution of banking professionals to Bangladesh’s presence in international sports, the bank said in the statement.
