BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health condition remains unchanged.
British specialist Dr Richard Beale is now joined by four additional experts from China. The Chinese doctors are Cai Jianfang, Yuan Jin, Zhang Yuhui, and Meng Hong.
BNP had not released any information about the doctors’ assessments as of Thursday morning.
The party is expected to share an updated briefing on her condition on Thursday afternoon.
A BNP source said the lung infection that caused complications has shown slight improvement. Most of her other health issues remain the same.
On Wednesday evening, Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus visited Khaleda Zia at Evercare Hospital.
Supporters of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia are gathering in large numbers from across the country in front of Evercare Hospital in the capital to see her. On Thursday morning around 10:30 am, a crowd of party leaders and activists was seen outside the hospital.
On the spot, special security arrangements have been made in the hospital area. The road in front of the hospital’s main gate has been cordoned off with barbed wire barricades.
Members of the Special Security Force (SSF), Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), police, and other law enforcement agencies are present.
Khaleda Zia was taken to the hospital on 23 November after she developed breathing problems. Following examinations, doctors detected an infection in her lungs, prompting concerns over her critical condition.
