Jhenaidah Superintendent of Police Md Mahafuj Afzal has been withdrawn from his post.
The order, issued on Thursday by Inspector General of Police Md Ali Hossain Fakir, directed him to hand over his duties to a senior district police officer and report to Police Headquarters by Friday.
The directive did not specify any reason for the withdrawal.
Earlier, police chiefs of three other districts were also withdrawn, including Feni SP Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan, Panchagarh SP Md Mizanur Rahman, and Moulvibazar SP Md Riazul Islam.
