Jatiya Party (JaPa) has finalised its candidates for 196 parliamentary seats ahead of the upcoming national elections, with nominations for two more constituencies still pending.
If confirmed, the party could contest in 198 seats.
The candidate list was unveiled on Tuesday at a press conference at a hotel in Dhaka by JaPa Secretary General Shameem Haider Patwary.
Party Chairman GM Quader, senior leaders, and officials from various levels were present at the event.
Addressing the media, the leaders said that amid the current political landscape, the party is pursuing a responsible and voter-focused election strategy.
They expressed confidence that the announced candidates would effectively address the expectations of the electorate and serve the people.
