Jamaat-e-Islami will formally announce its election manifesto, titled ‘People’s Manifesto,’ on Wednesday evening ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
The manifesto announcement ceremony is scheduled for 6:30pm at the Sheraton Hotel in Banani. Jamaat’s Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and other senior party leaders are expected to attend the event.
The party said the programme, held under the slogan “Cholo ekshathe gori Bangladesh” (Let’s build Bangladesh together) will outline Jamaat’s vision and commitments on the nation’s future, democracy, good governance and welfare-oriented state policies.
The manifesto has been prepared with the aim of building a safer Bangladesh.
Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said the manifesto aims to present a clear and realistic roadmap for the country’s welfare ahead of the upcoming national election.
He added that the manifesto has been drafted in line with the country’s current situation and future development plans.
The party also said the manifesto incorporates feedback from more than 37 lakh public suggestions collected through an app-based campaign.
